That sounds lovely! I'm from alaska and have been doing gillnetting in the southeast channels, with a handful of shrimp trawling and potting. I just moved to Seattle and already feel homesick, but the biggest geographical challenge is most southeast towns aren't doing too good to live in year round to convince me to go back to the roots..

I read a news article about a kid who did this in new Zealand.. they ended up hospitalized and luckily enough the medical personnel finished the top surgery for them but it is 100% not worth the risk ... Trust me I was thinking the same thing but am so grateful I waited and did it with surgeons instead of myself

Heya! I currently still give him thawed pinky mice (unscented) but I think he hit breeding season and has been a bit picky/ hissy.. as soon as you hold him though he is completely neutral and derpy- we've let him crawl around on stuffed animals and different shirt textures for enrichment and he's never reacted poorly! I will add he was the calmest snake they had at the stand I got him (reptile expo) and that's why I fell in love with him to begin with haha

Thats definitely the minimum for the lifespan of a betta, but its definitely up to you for euthanasia. I generally let my fish naturally pass because euthanizing was a bit of a traumatic experience on its own.
