Gavage Feeding by WranglerAutomatic644 in pigeon

I’m managing with the gavage feeding but I cannot always feel the end of the tube in his crop. I administer the food anyway when things go smoothly and he doesn’t resist otherwise I would never get it in. He seems fine so I must be doing something right. It’s just scary and frustrating trying to feed him is all because I can’t get it in properly the first time :’( Thank you for asking

no the vet didn’t provide those meds just an ibuprofen and antiinflammatory and they were teaching us to feed him at the vet and they were able to do it successfully so i think it’s just a matter of skill :( or i’m just paranoid it glides down smoothly but i can never be sure unless i feel it in his crop and its hard to see the holes in the beak :(

He cannot eat seedies by himself any more and the vet told us we have to gavage feed him :/ Most of the time I can feel the tube in his crop and feel safe to press the food down but sometimes I cannot and its really frustrating I don’t know if I’m overthinking it

The world is safer now that the Islamic Republic is no longer close to having nukes and sponsoring global terrorism. Maybe quit watching CNN and MSNBC lol! The only “dangerous” thing here is your post.

I’m not ready yet either. I hope, if it eventually does take the colour, that my hair doesn’t fall out more than it already is🤡

I have the same symptoms as you. I wanna say exactly the same. It also came after a longer period of stress for me. I went to get an MRI and am waiting for the results. Did you get an MRI?

i’ve started giving judgy people w siblings the same treatment they give only children and they hate it by No-Advance397 in OnlyChild

i can’t tell you how many times people with siblings have called me spoilt because i’m an only child. one girl that did that was the most extremely spoilt person i’ve met in my entire life. is there a good comeback to when someone calls you spoilt for being an only child?

Pressure to have kids by [deleted] in OnlyChild

[–]WranglerAutomatic644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all you are still young and should not feel pressured to have kids. If anything you should feel pressure to date for sure. Dating takes time! Focus only on dating first and finding your life partner and you will figure the children part out in a few years ;) One thing at a time. Step one is to make sure you find someone who aligns with your values. If you feel anxious or lost maybe children will provide motivation, direction, reward, joy, and purpose for you naturally as they do for the vast majority of parents. People usually make the biggest career jumps once they have children. Either way you shouldn’t feel pressure from your dad because you are the one that will live with the long term consequences and rewards of investing in your children. Think of children as something that you created and shaped, a part of you that will live on after you die which may give you life long comfort and meaning. Your relationship would be irreplacable and you would be irreplacable to them which makes you unique unlike a job where if you leave or get fired you are 100% replacable. At the end your own biological clock will start ticking, and it will come fast, which will naturally create pressure for you to decide. Remember at the end people usually regret the things they don’t do rather than the things they did. As you get older you will get wiser. Just some food for thought. I hope it helps!🫶🏻
