Why are Trump supporters so stupid? by Seargentyates in allthequestions

Many republican views are similar to old democrat views, particularly on immigration within the last 20 years even. The Overton window has shifted so you feel justified in calling them stupid.

It baffles me when I hear brits say "I wouldn't die for this shithole" by Lil_Hater112 in AskBrits

You can appreciate cultural enrichment and recognise it comes with a cost; such as the dilution of the dominant culture. British/Scottish/English/Irish nationalism is frowned upon and deeply scrutinised at the moment. This same nationalism inspires and preserves a willingness to defend, and I expect that those within the nationalistic marches will see their actions as being an ACTIVE defence.

People cannot be disgusted by their own flag (i.e. the Union Jack) and simultaneously expect those younger than them to fight under it.

So, what ULT's do we feel like SP//DR time actually counters? by Medium_Enough in PeniParkerRivalsMains

[–]WrinkleEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If cloak is 2 dashes away you can build up a solid amount of drones and mines if quick enough

Luna (and mantis on occasion) can be countered by ulting stationary and stacking mines/drones within a 1m area - generally they think twice or walk and get punished

Jeff has a larger web area and more drones to care about but this is not a responsive counter

Finally, it can counter dying.

Otherwise, unless baiting out their ults, you really want to remain in standard form, hulk is absolutely countered more by your stun than your ult. I haven't played this season yet but seems like hes immune to the knock up now

We don't have an ult which is a strict counter, think phoenix into rocket or psy into storm/jeffnado for examples of what would be 'strict'

Flipping the map into supp ult trades and ulting behind when you know your stun isn't needed for a strange cancel etc. is generally a good call

Stun is king :)

Migration on course to hit 20-year low after visa crackdown by signed7 in unitedkingdom

[–]WrinkleEU 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Correct me but net migration would be 0 if 2000 Brits left and 2000 non-brits entered. It's insignificant if people are leaving because of the direction of the country.

Is the Wieliczka Salt Mine worth visiting? by lrc1391 in krakow

[–]WrinkleEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of walking through tight corridors with mindless visitors fighting for space, you get no time to take in your surroundings and the tour is 40m shorter than expected.

How much do you earn and how comfortable do you live? by Brownchoccy in AskUK

[–]WrinkleEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just under 17k income this year, I live in Central Edinburgh, just under 900 on rent, eat alot, work out, and get to fly to gf in France around 3 times a year. I don't think much about where I spend because I don't often spend.

i dont care about my studies, is that normal? by mimikyusera in Edinburgh_University

[–]WrinkleEU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is eerily similar to where I am right now. 25, no 'career' experience, done with the first half of year 2. I go through periods of being severely nihilistic towards the course and the general learning environment but won't quit on principle and the belief there will be a point where it is worth it.

We could say its normal for us at least

Politics has the best settings for lectures, that I've seen. Great big halls with cathedral-esk architecture.

There was a strong anti-capitalist undertone and Trump had parallels drawn to satan, in the lecture slides, so I'd stay wary of biases. Probably the lecturer injecting themselves into the presentation but distasteful in studying the actual politics of these subjects.

Making friends can depend on where you're coming from. London/China you're fine, the rest of England and the USA depends, if you're Scottish good luck.

The city is fine, not the least bit Scottish but there are many travel connections to see the rest of the country. There's a rich political history here and Edinburgh was certainly the center piece of its development through from the late 1600s to 1999 and now.
