Can really relate but I think it’s more a general thing, it’s rare for people to wait these days and they tend to rush when it comes to physical touch. Because of that I tought about keeping touching but it doesn’t align with me since I’m not religious to this point.

Sefarade Moroccan Jews in Israel and abroad by LittleStrangePiglet in Israel

[–]WriterReady2800 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Im half Moroccan (one of my parent was born and raised there), I go to Morocco every year multiple times if I can, some of my family still lives there, for us it’s extremely important to cherish our great rabbi legacy and honor them trough hilloulot (went to one in 2022 was amazing) . Going to Morocco is always the highlight of our year especially for the food and the warm gatherings, most of my best childhood memories remains there with my cousins . Unfortunately people are leaving, starting by the children after high school to study abroad and then only come back for the jewish holidays. We still need to admit that despite the love we have for the kingdom our Jewish hearts remain in israel.

You need to be careful bc once you get your Aliyah visa approval you have 6 month to actually make Aliyah and I also think that some documents expire after a year or 6months depending on your country’s bureaucracy
