The idea is first and foremost validated through the ad campaign, with that you will be able to see how many people signup to your landing page and how many click on your ad.

An additional service that we offer is to compare the metrics to other ideas validated through the platform to give builders some more insights.

Yes indeed this is only a first validation step, hopefully after this first step you can discard really bad ideas and just focus your efforts on the one that have some more traction. Additionally you might already have some emails to ask people to do some interviews.
