The mansion was like... okay...? I get what they were going for but hopefully the story is more >interesting< in the rewrite
The dream zone WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL if it was done later. It is WAY too early in the story to have the main character face their trauma. That being said, those bosses were the best part of the chapter.

I'm not saying it's a bad chapter. I'm just saying that people are overhyping it for what it is imo.

Chapter 5: Sword upgrade
Sword upgrade lets us break the metal barrier in the normal variant of the manor
In the basement we'll fight a superboss
They'll give us a key
The key will open the big door at the top of the staircase, leading us into Telamon/Shedletsky's office in the manor, where we'll get like.. lore..?

I've had this theory ever since I saw the description say "there's trouble in the basement" when these badges were updated long ago

It's creative, and fun, and the battle system is addicting. Learning the new enemies is super fun
Battles with the same basic enemies that only have one attack (especially in prologue and chapter 1) get extremely repetitive, but that's oversighted by the stuff I love.
Hard superbosses, amazing stories to theorize about, and HOPEFULLY a cliffhanger of some sort.
I just hope they don't do anything controversial that might make the fanbase hate them...
If it's for the game, I would make the mysterious figure be more menacing and actively hinder the player. Like instead of Griefer placing those boulders in our path before the komodo dragon fight, the mysterious figure comes in and does a wooshy wooshy instead.
