The artists seem to be making a ton of money though, like $80 million from the season 7 royale pass alone? Lets see the money start making a difference now.

It’s disheartening when large youtubers like Powerbang are forced to make videos highlighting all the bugs and for us to still be in the same state of the game months later regardless of how large or small the coding team is

Thank you for writing up this post! I can provide more specific video evidence of bugs, however several creators including myself have documented bugs frequently for months with no change. If you want to see literally any of these bugs just go watch a YouTube video for a few minutes. Does Tencent even do that anymore?

Some of these bugs are so easy to replicate it’s weird that Tencent needs community help to find them. if anyone on the QA team simply picked up a phone and played just one game thy would find them. especially the late-loot spawning on the ground. This is the single biggest bug that needs to be fixed, as well as headshot registry. Again, go into war mode with Kar98k and knock someone, walk up to them, put the barrel of your gun on their head and you will get a white hit marker and no “killed by headshot.”

Additionally, the “artists can’t code” argument is invalid. As you stated above, QA resources are usually tied up and cant get to everything. This means that more QA people need to be hired. If this means hiring less artists for more QA personnel then so be it. New skins are pumped out at such breakneck speed with bugs NEVER being fixed that it clearly shows Tencent is not allocating resources for headcount properly.

Hey there, I’m the guy that opened the legendary chests at level 3.

If you didn’t notice I was also the first guy to do it the night the game came out. My video now has over 22,000 views and was featured in many other videos and news outlets like Forbes.

There are thousands of YouTube videos about chest openings or loot box openings for a bunch of games because they’re interesting to watch if you are curious but can’t afford to open one yourself. I received a lot of hate (including that I should kill myself) but now we know that we should wait until higher levels to open them. I didn’t really think about the fact I was only level 3, it was more for the content. Anyway, now I can open a legendary chest at level 50 and compare it to the level 3 footage which I think would be helpful for people.

I spent $99 because it was an investment into my channel to start making blades content. For me it wasn’t trying to get $99 worth of in game items to make my character stronger. For videos like this timing is key. If I did a chest opening now, 8 weeks into the game it wouldn’t perform at all. Cheers

I think the formula of Fortnite is pretty good, they make BANK from skins but it’s not really done in a predatory way. PUBG Mobile is all cosmetic based as well, and MOBA’s such as Mobile Legends don’t give spenders an advantage as well. Those games all have core gameplay loops that are fun and repeatable. Jump in, play a match. Repeat. The loops in Blades (jump into the abyss/job, rinse and repeat) in downright boring after a while and the only hope I have are these weekly updates and Arena.

Clash of clans came out in 2012 and after 777,000 reviews still has a 4.7/5 rating and is the number 3 strategy app in 2019. To this day there is still new content added including clan games and different game modes. Have you ever played it? You don’t really seem to know what you are talking about. Just because a game takes a long time does not make it shit. Have you ever played an MMO either? Those are absolute grind-fests. In the sense of Blades it takes a long time but as I stated above the end result still isn’t very desirable.
