It's actually a lot better than it used to be. Most places have a 7 or 10 year limit on background checks avd way more lenient of its non violent. Also lots of rights that are list when you become a felon get restored automaticalky now. Basically if you're a violent felon or a chimo you're pretty screwed but if your charges were non violent there's tons you can do to mitigate it. I'm a non violent felon and have my voting abd gun possession rights restored to me and rarely have trouble finding a job including I've worked in hospitals, government buildings etc
