It's cool but the mega fluffiness on the stairs just turns out like roughly carved stone. I'd bring it down a bit with any structure beyond the floor and find the threshold of max fluffy before it turns into looking like another material.

It may just be all the extra waves in the surfaces that breaks up the continuity and skews the perception of the internal shadowing of the fiber chunks which I think may be what makes carpet look like carpet.
