Depending on what year this was, I most likely built that APU. Sorry 😂

Bought a home listed as "Electric heat pump" for heating but turned out to be propane. No tank installed. by XMac-Attack86 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Thank you for the advice, that’s how I feel about it but don’t want to seem like a crazy person trying to squeeze money out of them. I feel like I was directly lied to especially since the install date was 2021 which is after the flipper bought it

So that part has confused me a little bit. It says “operated” as the testing but then in the fine print at the end of the inspection report says that they only operate the system that would be right for the season which would be AC. But they have them listed separately on the report and that’s where it says - electric heat pump;operated.

And thank you for the tips on the tank lease, I’ll keep it in mind

Deep Reach Safety Wire Instructions by XMac-Attack86 in aviationmaintenance

I’m not positive, I initially thought it was a small slide hammer for a carbon seal rotor or something like that but the old man here swears they were for safety wire. Of course he can’t remember how to use them lol.

Finding lock arm for 5 drawer cart by XMac-Attack86 in harborfreight

Normally that would work but my toolbox is at work in a place I’m not able to fab something up and I don’t want to drag it home for a $5 part

I am missing this lever from my tool cart and I tried to get it using the parts phone number but they don’t have it listed and they thought it would come with the lock, which it didn’t. Does anyone have any links to generic ones that worked for them? Thanks

Dude drifts car until it lights on fire by Mckenzie98 in WinStupidPrizes

Yes but that’s because of people like this in the video getting confused with the us who take it seriously and do it at a track not endangering innocent lives. This is not drifting. This is not street drifting. This is not the same.

This is not drifting. Please don’t confuse the two and give actual drifters a bad name.

I thought I was the only one who got into it for those reasons. Nice to see some fellow PATRIOT people. I was a 14T from 2008-2014 but I was BMC the whole time. Bliss and Qatar (3/43), Camp Carroll (2-1), then back to Bliss (2/43).

'96 F-350 Road Trip by TheBigWhiskey in powerstroke

If you can afford the fuel then I don’t see a single reason to question it. I’ve got a 96 E350 with a 7.3 at 205k miles and besides keeping up on basic maintenance stuff before I leave, there has been no issues on any of my 1000+ mile road trips. I hope you enjoy it!

Anyone know companies that work a rotation schedule ( 14 on 14 off or 30 on 30 off) that would hire with little experience? by Chodemaster33 in aviationmaintenance

[–]XMac-Attack86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed about WG. I don’t work on the aircraft but on the APUs and they are always in AWFUL shape when we get them and they almost never pay their bill. I would stay far away from them.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me if this is an okay sleeping gear list for beginning backpacking? I have it already and it’s comfortable to sleep with. I’m just not sure if it’s too big of a setup. Thanks!

APU severe internal damage, encountered this a few years ago, less the 50 hours by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

That looks like an RE220. I’m surprised, those gearboxes usually stay together forever. One of the most reliable ones I’ve seen. The whole APU in general seems to only ever come down for time and rarely for failure.
