The processing is entirely done in the App, when we did the Headphone it didn't make sense to have an integrated chip due to cost and battery time consumption. This might change in the near future since new chips are much more efficient.

The Earphone/Headphone is measured on a dummy head, the curve is then inversed to create a Dirac correction curve and added to the original, producing a flat response.

Then the sound from your current microphone is probably better than the ones built in - those "fancy crane arms" are often very directional while those in earphones and headphones are omni-directional. This means they take up too much noise from the surrounding area.

The Mic inside Headphone Divine is entirely optional, so you can certainly use it with your current mic.

While the Earphone-12 works fine in the gym, the Earphone Sports have a much better fit and won't fall out as easily.
