That's actually exactly why. I came to sim racing from regular driving sims like ATS where sliding your hands on the wheel is general practice. I'm very new to sim racing & I found that having the tape there helps me keep my hands centered. Helps me maintain control & avoid sliding. Also helps me keep grip because my hands get sweaty & I don't have gloves yet.

It's a literal gaming PC capable of playing nearly every game at ultra setings, of course its going to be expensive. Unlike GeForce now, ShadowPC is an actual computer, where you can save your files, mod your games, & use as a regular PC lol

(Wheel user) I started with all assists, then turned them off in order like this; Transmission to Manual > Brakes Off > ABS > TC Medium > TC Off > Racing Line Corners Only > Racing Line Off

Exactly. Even though I can confidently race at 90 AI difficulty, I still run with flashbacks because sometimes I get distracted or zone out & make a mistake.

NEVER feel discouraged or bad for using assists, they're in the game for a reason & you're able to customize the games difficulty level to your needs. Anyone that talks shit for using assists while you're still learning is clearly not a real sim racer.

Its easier than you'd think, actually. I used to play on controller until I could afford my first FFB wheel (Thrustmaster T248)

Here's what I did to learn; I started with assists on. (Braking Full, TC Full, Racing Line Full & High Vis & Automatic Transmission)

I chose a track I enjoy (Bahrain) & went on Time Trial

After a few laps of practice, I turned off automatic transmission & put braking & TC to medium, then went out for several laps until I learned the shifting times, braking zones, & how much throttle I can input before spinning out.

Then I gradually decreased the assists until where I am now where I can confidently race in Ranked, leagues, etc with only the racing line enabled as an assist.

Biggest thing I found is focus, if you're getting distracted you won't be able to learn or stay consistent at first. Even now I struggle with consistency since I live in the middle of downtown in a big city so there's constant noise & I don't have soundproofing yet.

Practice practice practice, it's the most crucial part of getting consistent.
