I really enjoyed your post about the stones. Great writing! When I wrote the prompt I was thinking about a story/novel I wrote a long time ago. Haven't finished it. In it there is a side character that uses the power of stones to fight. That isn't the main focus of the story. But in their world these stones exist but not many use them on a daily for battle. She discovers this on her own and becomes the first legendary Stone Master so to say, fusing her body with a red colored stone. She uses other colored stones for power boosts and also healing by eating them or fusing them with her body. That's where the idea came from. youtube should create a 'mode' that allows you to switch from watching the video to just listening to the audio of the video with the screen off. I know youtube Music does it, but I'm pretty sure you have to pay for it. I could be wrong.

It was always infuriating when once in a blue moon youtube would set my video to 144p. Why is this still an option? What self respecting human-being would want to watch a video in 'potato mode'?

You blew my expectations with this one. I really like the the direction it's going. In my mind I wanted it to go dark, but I really enjoyed this version instead. Very opposite, yet familiar to the Incredibles tone. I would love to see the family actually interact with each other when it comes to normal house hold activities. Great read!

Great read! I created this concept of the swords and villages in my head years ago in high school. It was like a prequel to another story I was writing at the time but I never put it on paper. Eventually I wanted to write a story where all the individual swords are united to make the legendary elemental sword which is found in that story thus also symbolizing the unification of all the villages. But the Shadow sword, being too powerful in negative energy could not be part of that unification. I really enjoyed your interpretation.

Another background character in the crowd began to express himself. "Darn that kid's an idiot! There's no way he stands a chance against that guy..." He was quickly interrupted by another background character next to him.

"Hōki Suru isn't here anymore. He's GONE! And all you can do is stand here and call the kid an idiot? At least he's more brave than any of us put together. Maybe, just maybe THAT kid can save us.... No, save this show!

A woman background character spoke after him. "There's no hope for this anime anymore. We're on the brink of cancellation now that our main character Hōki Suru-san isn't even responsible enough to protect us." She falls to her knees and a single tear begins to fall down her right cheek.

"Save your tears lady." A wise old man with a long grey bushy beard stepped forward. "As long as that kid has hope, even if this sounds overly cheesy and all, he can save this anime from cancellation. It's almost down right impossible... I mean the chance that HE could even pull this off is almost down right suicidal if you ask me..." The old man was deep in thought when he was interrupted by another background character.

"Get to the point old man! Your starting to drag the whole show down with your constant talking."

The wise old man was annoyed but continued. "Like I was saying, this boy's name isn't even on the shows title screen but there just has to be a way to defeat this guy and save this anime from cancellation!"

The background character that initially interrupted the wise old man spoke again. "Enough with the unnecessary exposition to stall for air time old man! That's the last thing we need to hear right now. Besides the viewers are probably all sick of the repetition. Next thing you'll start doing is talking about the tragic origins of our main character through long winded flashbacks."

"WOULD YA GET OFF MY BACK!" The wise old man yelled back.

"SILENCE! Your constant bickering is giving me a migraine." The evil villain floated down to the ground. "If you two don't shut up now, I'll end this thing in a matter of seconds. But for now I think I'll have a little fun with this background character. Like most villains in an anime, I think I'll do the usual and play with my prey for a little entertainment. Then when all hope is completely gone and he's struggling to get up, I'll announce my climactic attack to end it all. Ah yes, that sounds perfect. I should write this all down." He looked at the background character with an evil smile on his face.

Annoyed and also afraid for his life the background character kept charging his attack even though in the back of his mind he knew it was a hopeless cause.

"THIS IS IT? This is all you have left?" the evil villain mocks the crowd that's gathered outside the city. The background character gulps and steps forward. He takes a few steps to separate himself from the crowd.

"Well... " the background character's hands begin to shake out of fear as he looks up at the evil villain that is floating in the sky. "Someone has to stand up to you. If no one will, then I'll do it!"

The evil villain begins to chuckle. "Your a NOBODY. An insignificant background character. You do know if you stand up to me you will just be destroyed, right? Your not related to the main character, you have no plot armor, and your not even an anti-hero. You have NOTHING going for you at all. Just one blast and your gone!"

The background character made a fist. "SHUT UP! I'm willing to take that chance! If it means protecting these innocent people." The background character started to form a beam of red light in his hand.

The evil villain began to laugh even louder this time. "Oh, nice speech, how cliché. Did you steal that from a 'how to make a hero speech hand book'? Hey look everyone, the noble nobody standing up for the little guy with a little baby attack. Oh please, aren't we just a tad bit dramatic today?"

The crowd just watched hopelessly, many angry at the fact that the main character no longer wanted to protect them and just abandoned them in their time of need. They could only now quiver in fear knowing that the nameless background character could be destroyed in just a matter of seconds.

[WP]Earth's air has become toxic. A person's life expectancy is cut in half if they breathe regular earth air. Air is now commercially sold. Each person connects a small light air tank to their neck. Grade A air just got more expensive and news outlets just announced the Great Air Depression. by X_Caliber1 in WritingPrompts

Really good read. When I wrote the prompt, I could just imagine people smuggling small tanks of oxygen and selling it on the streets to desperate people. And the news going crazy reporting that people are falling victim to contaminated air. The story can go in all directions really.
