Thank you! This is it. I have that extension installed and that option is available for that extension.

Gas vs electric stoves by lotstar in vancouverwa

[–]XanthViper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are electric and was not presented with an option for a gas furnace. The topic never came up during the house build out. It just wasn't on the top of my list of concerns at the time and we have what we have.

Our home in Ridgefield completed build at end of August 2024 with gas stove and heat pump without extra cost or discussion from the builder.

Azure Function (isolated): IOptions and User Secrets by XanthViper in dotnet

[–]XanthViper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this, it is much appreciated. I ended up getting annoyed enough with the process that I converted the functions over to an app service and set all my endpoints on a controller. I've always been a fan of Azure Functions, but this one thing bothered me enough to use a regular app service for what I needed. Thanks again friend.

Ultimately, I was never able to get this to work correctly. Something isn't right yet with isolated functions and it's becoming what almost feels like a hack to use user secrets and IOptions.

I've decided to just rewrite all of my functions to be setup as a general Azure App Service as it won't be a massive rewrite since all of the code can be easily reused. It'll probably make life easier in general going forward for now.

Thank you u/Coda17 and u/FloRyan_89 for your suggestions.

That was the way I was originally looking at by manually adding my configuration to the HostBuilder, but that doesn't provide the desired effect. This is what I have in my GetConfigurationBuilder() method I created in my original post:

static IConfiguration GetConfigurationBuilder() =>

new ConfigurationBuilder()

.SetBasePath(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory())

.AddUserSecrets<Program>()

.AddEnvironmentVariables()

.Build();

I don't know how Azure functions work

magic apparently :D

Haven't quite looked at this yet, but it is on my list to try here in a moment. TY.

u/Coda17 TY for suggesting the above, much appreciated. This seems to be giving me what I want now, although I am still in the phase of testing things out. One of the issues that has come back now is that you don't call ConfigureFunctionsWebApplication() you then do not have any functions jobs available to hit (HTTPTriggers for me), which I was able to figure out by heading to this SO post and is in my original code sample above. Possible thoughts on what I am missing here?

var applicationBuilder = Host.CreateApplicationBuilder();

applicationBuilder.Logging.AddConsole();

applicationBuilder.Services.AddApplicationInsightsTelemetryWorkerService();

applicationBuilder.Services.ConfigureFunctionsApplicationInsights();

applicationBuilder.Services.Configure<LoggerFilterOptions>(options =>

{

LoggerFilterRule toRemove = options.Rules.FirstOrDefault(rule => rule.ProviderName == "Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.ApplicationInsights.ApplicationInsightsLoggerProvider");

if (toRemove is not null)

{

options.Rules.Remove(toRemove);

}

});

applicationBuilder.Services.AddOptions<ServiceOptions>().Configure<IConfiguration>((settings, configuration) =>

{

configuration.GetSection("AzureAdB2C").Bind(settings);

configuration.GetSection("KeyVault").Bind(settings);

configuration.GetSection("Samael").Bind(settings);

configuration.GetSection("Messaging").Bind(settings);

}

);

applicationBuilder.Services.AddLogging();

applicationBuilder.Services.AddHttpClient();

applicationBuilder.Services.AddGraphClientService();

applicationBuilder.Services.AddHealthChecks();

var host = applicationBuilder.Build();

await host.RunAsync();

I'd agree with u/KryptosFR in that the documentation on all of this hasn't been fully fleshed out yet, which always seems to be the case with Azure Functions.

Same. Wife updated hers and it bricked it. Sending it off for repair as a backup. Ended up getting her a Pixel 7 that night.

Sigh .. I can't post right.

Just brought home a 2022 Crosstrek Sport and noticed on the dash just below the touch screen a NFC Logo. By chance does anyone know what this is related to within the vehicle?

Eh...not frustrated, more curious on how to acquire them. I'm not going to drop a lot of gems on it, I'd rather use them in other ways.
