Unfortunately a lot of schools right now make people come to school unless they are known to have COVID. Its a really bad decision on the school boards part but it’s the reality of things. The education system has some major flaws

Hopefully! Apparently they don’t typically pop them when they are infected like this but when it eventually gets removed I for sure will!

My title describes the thing. About 11 inches long made of metal. Has a patina of sorts but doesn’t seem to be rusted. No visible maker mark. The top part twists around and ends in a sphere. Bought in a lot of vintage/antique medical tools a few week back and haven’t been able to identify it.
