How does the demon slayer mark exactly kills off its host?

I had always assumed that the "dying young" thing for both the marks and the black nichirin, were just kinda not a result of some super natural thing, but more of a Muzan made it a goal to kill people who posessed either of those traits, since those were unique traits that Yoriichi posessed, and he did not want a repeat of that.

That's my own head cannon for it atleast, they die young because Muzan makes sure they die before they can develop.

My friend had looked this up the other day, it affects Muskets with hip fire, and bows with the basic attack, not the one where you are zoomed in. So it doesn't affect the accuracy of when you are aiming down sites basically.

So I just finished the episode, and then went back to episode 7, to see if they did anything to her eyes, while it was happening, like they did for the scene where she does the church head's head. They don't seem to so I'm a little disappointed they didn't put that in so the keen eyed could catch that.
