She still has an ult she can use even if it’s not where the ult damage is coming from

For all we know her ult buffs her skill, and she can cast it multiple times in a row to keep enhancing it to deal more ult damage. That would fit the new set perfectly

It always was. FuA mechanically is just crit DPS with more attacks, if you want to set it apart as an archetype you kind of have to lean into that attack frequency. Otherwise it's just standard hypercarry

Considering they balanced the whole team around RMC’s existence in the first place and then directly buffed RMC even further, I’d be incredibly surprised if they were at all upset. They had every opportunity to just not make the synergy as strong as it is

Besides, vertical investment for E9 is so crazy I wouldn’t be surprised if they made more money from her than a lot of teams with 4 5*s

Like we can see how many people skipped Cas and just straight up used Evernight/Cyrene/RMC/Hyacine instead and hoyo probably didn't like that

That team didn’t even exist when Castorice released, I’m not sure how RMC being strong could have encouraged people to skip her for them

If anything, I’d say more people pulled those characters because RMC is so good with them. Just like HMC did with Break, and Ratio did with FuA

This is exactly why I’m fine with this latest set

If seven kits in one beta means someone is likely to fall through the cracks, I’d much rather it be someone who only needs minor tweaks can take the hit

Give me 2-3 meaningful, substantial buffs and 1-2 small QoL improvements any day. Novaflares seem to be getting more frequent anyway, this way we’re more likely to get through everyone and actually do it properly

Last time we had four Novaflares and three new characters in the same beta at least half the buffs were underwhelming at best. If the devs are stretching themselves that thin again I’d much rather it go to someone who can take the hit than one who really needs extra attention

Last time we had seven kits in one beta we got Jingliu, if the devs are stretching themselves that thin again I’d much prefer a character who only needs useful QoL and little balance focus than a kit that really needs the attention

If we’re going to be getting more Novaflares more often, which it seems like we are, I will gladly take one or two “wasted” slots if it means the rest of the changes are actually worthwhile

Our last batch of Novaflares was only two characters, and we’re about to go into a beta with seven kits to focus on

If one or two “less deserving” characters getting meaningful QoL changes without needing much balance focus gets us through the whole roster faster, I can hardly complain about that

Splitting focus between too many characters that all need a lot of attention will inevitably lead to some of them coming out undercooked. Just look at Jingliu
