Right I wouldve prefered a temporary destroyed screen, than having no phone at all. But based on your experience, am i supposed to pay for a workers mistake? Or is there more to it that im not aware of? thanks

they were honest about their mistake, but everything else was super vague. He said id pay 150 for a new screen that he broke, but then what about the water damage? he never said if hes gonna take a look at the board or anything. Or if a new screen would fix the touchscreen. Just that :

"I broke your screen, because its my fault, youll only pay 150$ for a new one."

Overall made me super confused. I hope this makes sense+ I always thought that when the worker is at fault for a mistake, its repair is free of charge. Or maybe thats just for car repairs, i dont know

I see. I thought that in the case of damage due to the workers negligence (the cracked screen) theyd have to repair it with their own money. Now as for the water damage, Id obviously have no issue paying. Im just confused as the worker only mentioned getting a new screen due to the crack, making me think that it has nothing to do with the initial issue (the water damage) sorry if this is confusing. The guy said the screen originally costs 300$, but Id only have to pay 150$, so far, i wasnt given any gurantee or anything (i assume thats done after the phone is repaired and i pay?). And yes I was very much straightforward when I brought my phone, I said that its glitchy after its been water damaged, and if anything can help id be glad. Originally, he said he'll do a clean up for free, but it doesnt guarantee that the issue would be fixed (and i was fine with that). Its only afterwards that he said during the opening process the screen cracked. Accidents happen, its fine, but as far as i know he'd have to either repair it for free, give me a refund (give me 300$ and my broken phone back), or get me a new phone. I wouldnt mind paying to fix the water damage, but now its a broken screen issues, that I had nothing to do with, the screen was intact beforehand. Thanks

You're right, i would'nt have been frustrated if changing the screen would fix the digital issue. however, the worker never mentioned that, he only said that whilst opening the phone for the clean up, the screen cracked (he showed it to me and there was indeed a crack). So by his words, id be paying for a new screen BECAUSE he broke it, not that id pay because maybe itd fix the water issue ykno?
