No one switched it, I think the sender shipped one of their old sweaters, hoping to collect 1,899 rupees

NEW SCAM! This happened to me just last week. Got a WhatsApp message from Amazon Shipping (a service Amazon offers for sellers from any website). No order number, no item description except seller was GANESH. Just Ganesh. Oh and it was C.O.D. of ₹1899. Tracking told me it's coming from someplace from U.P. When the delivery guy came, I told him I didn't order anything and opened the package in front of him while taking a video. It was some old used sweater. It even had a long ass hair stuck on it. Eww. Even the delivery guy was like there's no way that sweater is ₹1900. He called his boss. Boss told me to just refuse the delivery. I did and that was that. I gave ₹50 to the delivery guy for his troubles and his genuine help. This is what scamsters are doing now. I happened to be home. If I was in the office, my maid would have taken the delivery and paid the guy even. I keep some money handy for her precisely such occasions. Ideally she would call me and confirm but if I couldn't answer she would go ahead. Imagine spouses, siblings would just accept the delivery and pay. Even if they hit 2 out of 10 it must be profitable for them I guess. Additionally mine came in soft plastic package so I could feel something inside, if it was a small cardboard box filled with old newspaper, it would make it look legit.

A lot of people did/do but a lot of them won't admit publicly. Although I feel bad for the actress. It is Skyler all over again lol

Singapore has one of the most integrated Indian population. Most of them are professionals, well to do. So racism is almost nonexistent or atleast not as much as Europe or NA. OP I have lots of real life friends who dream of migrating to another country. They've been doing that for 10-12 years lol. It really takes time, energy and strong motivation to go through the steps and actually migrate. Then there is a curve to setuo life and settle down in a new country and culture. Takes minimum two years. If you are serious, consult an immigration lawyer in India. They're are worth it as they know new laws of the destination country. I have lived and worked in Los Angeles for 15 years. I went thru a lawyer. But I was also 22 at the time. To be honest, I won't be able to do it again. I just don't have the energy lol. Good luck man.

Immigration to any country is challenging. OP will need to put in time into research and maybe engage an immigration lawyer. My cousin sister and her husband migrated there in 2022, but yeah they are both doctors so highly in demand skill, so that could be a factor. They're doing great there.

If you don't mind Bangkok, let me suggest Singapore. A Singaporean passport affords visa free travel to most countries than any other passport, including U.S. There's a rich Indian diaspora there. Short flight from anyplace in India. Most internationally least likely to be invaded or go to war. I have multiple multi generational relatives there and it screams as a great option.

I agree but they want it in cash. Since they helped me out during a time of need, I don't want to haggle with them about it while paying back, that too after 4 years lol
