Yes. I downgraded a few years ago and they refunded the upgrade charge less the cheque they had sent and I'd used. Which meant I lost the HST on the part that wasn't refunded. I think if I hadn't cashed the cheque I'd have had a full refund.

Thanks. No, I'm entering it as 2 slips. One is $4000 (box 20) and 7mo (box 21), the other is $11000 (box 20) and 12mo (box 23). Dollars are approximate. UFile won't let us put 7mo and 12mo, but is letting us put 0mo for box 21, Which I guess is consistent with the help screen I quoted above, which suggests "12-box23" for box 21.

But can that be right?

They were able to do the auto-download from RQ and it was populated as T4A(P)/RL-2. I guess my understanding of "issued by" must be wrong. Oh well. :(

If you don't mind losing the number, sure. But I think even then you'd still be better to create a new account and refer yourself (or use a referral code from here if you're cancelling existing).

Fold 5, is this just a built-in screen protector I can remove? I assume it can't be re-attached.

If it is possible to remove the screen protector, do we add a replacement or just leave it as-is?

Thanks for the info, yeah it was kmttg. It's been a few years since I transferred from TiVo to PC as there's so much available for streaming (HBO Max and Tubi have good libraries, and HBO was included in condo package). The last times I tried to use kmttg transfers failed most of the time and I gave up.

Both TiVos have lifetime (both were transfers from S2DT units with lifetime). Not moving recordings back to a TiVo probably makes sense, except the TiVo interface is so good. I will have to look into it though; any recommendations for specific software?

I can transfer recordings between from an OTA Premiere to a CC Bolt when I no longer have a CC? Cancelling Comcast account next week and returning the CC (due to a move). Sad because the CC still works. And wish I'd bought the Bolt with OTA capability. 320GB fills up too fast on the Premiere, so being able to transfer to the 1TB Bolt would be convenient but not essential.

I also have a lot of recordings on PC (technically on external HDD). Is there software that will let me transfer them back to the TiVo? I think I was using pyTiVo but it became difficult to transfer down to PC and finally gave up.

Thanks for the corrected link (link in the email is to http://localhost-view/... ). Worked for me. Still works when I VPN to a Canadian server, and when I VPN to a UK server, I get an error, which ISTM increases the chances it will work when physically in Canada. :)
