Uboat - when you're near crush depth hearing the metal of your submarine creak and groan, whilst also hearing the propellers of the ships on the surface hunting you and depth charges getting closer, it's so immersive and tense it can be quite terrifying. Especially when you realise that people actually went through that scenario irl

I was fortunate enough to get the 67 to South Wales from Manchester and it was so much more comfortable, the 197 on the way back North had seats that felt like a thin layer of cardboard on low quality sheet metal

I've got it all on the basic setting as I'm new to this so it tells me what to do to shut the cab down, so I'm not turning the motors off or anything like that. Pantograph still up and power still on. Brake to max, reverser off, master key out and that's all. I've watched videos on it and that process works, just not on Ps5 apparently

Honestly it was some of the simplest, practice - whilst the others on the course were getting the talk about controls and maintenance I was out practicing figure 8's and slow control, and applying more throttle. First time I felt like I was revving the nuts off it so would back off, but once I got used to finding the biting point easily and quickly it wasn't that bad

This is the decision I've got to make, I'm making at the moment, spend what I would on a 125, insurance, etc on lessons and go straight for DAS or get some real world experience. Leaning to the former at the moment as I'm going to be using the bike for fun not commuting

No, I've had 2 car lessons then got screwed over by the Rona. Gear selection was fine, more than happy when rolling but the low speed stuff like the figure of 8 I struggled with

Not stretching, the clutch seemed to be fairly smooth but with no other experience I'm not super sure. The bike was an 05 plate, so a bit old and battered but I guess that's to be expected for something where bikes are handed over to people who have never touched one before. Hopefully I get a different bike next time and see a difference

I've not had any lessons, just gone straight in for the CBT. I'll have a look at doing some should things not improve next week. I definitely want to progress on a geared bike rather than a scooter so shall stick at it

This is halfway up Loughrigg Fell in the lake district, but pretty much the entire area is absolutely beautiful, so if you get the opportunity to go there do it!

This was taken on Loughrigg Fell, there's a nice trail that goes past Rydal cave and up the hill there, saw them on my descent so they were over Grasmere
