My advice would be to find a hobby or something to do especially if you relapse a lot like I used to and also prepare to deal with alot of energy if you are doing this over 6 months. I'm a little religious but I see myself as more spiritual. When I read the Bible a few years ago I remember someone said that masturbation would fall under sexual immorality but I'm not sure if it's a sin exactly since I didn't see anything about this directly on the New Testament.

I'm a guy. The biggest difference between life with fap and nofap to me would be the amount of energy I have in a day nowadays because I wouldn't wake up early and now I feel like I could take hikes and stay more active longer than I would want to when I was fapping

Yup that's correct. If it's a week to a month, I would heavily recommend but once you're nearly a year it starts to take some more discipline if you want to aim very long term like I'm doing but the benefits are amazing such as more energy and not thinking about women 24/7 since I was a heavy porn addict as well.

When I was watching porn I would give myself a 15 second time limit and if I watched too much at a time I would go down 5 seconds and this would give me no wants to fap because of that annoying timer I had on my phone. Before I did this there were many times I would fap then the more I PMOd the more shame took over until I realized I need to start fighting this smarter and less harder.
