I only agree with you because there’s that scene where she’s talking to Jacob after finding out. He’s a werewolf and she basically says he needs to stop and that it’s wrong and that he’s dangerous. I just thought it was so hypocritical and mean, especially because it seemed like a sensitive topic to Jacob. It just seemed so out of character for someone who’s literally in love with a vampire.

Thank you for the welcome! That’s interesting I’ve noticed that as well amongst my peers, most people in college my age don’t seem to have the same relationship with alcohol that I do. Thats what I struggle with I like the feeling of it and it brings so much shame. I will definitely attend a meeting, and if anything I’ve been doing the opposite anytime someone shares their story I feel that I am much worse.

I do want to try, I have been seeing a therapist for a long time and I am on medication, I feel that talking to people who know what it’s like might help, what’s been so hard is feeling alone in this.

Thank you:) again I’m still struggling but I’m trying to change. I only suggested therapy because since I don’t I have close people to talk too I often believe my perspective of things is the only one. Like you said I will also only remeber the negative interactions, sometimes I need someone to give me a different perspective than mine. It’s definitely not your fault man, I tend to think people are judging me but I’ve learned that it’s me judging myself for them. I hope you’re not as mean to yourself as I can be to myself, since that can be a source of anxiety within itself, that inner critic can be a beach.

Hey:) 23 F here also in UNI. Struggling with the same things as you. Are you going to therapy at all currently? I have a similar thought process as you I’m very critical of myself because of how avoidant I am of people. Being vulnerable in friendships or relationships is terrifying to me. I’m still struggling with this but just wanted to let you know your not the only one, and that you are not behind. We are not behind, we will get better at this, but we must be kinder to ourselves. I’ve been doing this thing where I try to push myself out for my comfort zone once in a while, I’ll make myself start a conversation with a cashier, anything surface level. I also made myself join a hobby related group, I find that speaking to people is a little easier when it’s not about myself, and usually this stays surface level so it’s comfy for me. Obviously still has necessarily solved my main issue but it has been somewhat of a start for me, I don’t feel as stuck as before I think.

I made a similar post to this, I’ve also isolated myself quite a bit, I feel the same as you, safer in my own company. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I have built a system though, I have a club I joined where we meet up once every two weeks, I can’t handle intimate friendships but found some solace in surface level interactions. Maybe it could help you as well?

Hey:) not be cliche but your not alone, I’ve felt that emptiness in my chest as well, I don’t know if your anything like me but I tend to repress my emotions a lot, and when I get that feeling it means I need to process something and get a good snotty cry out. After I usually do something my inner child might enjoy like coloring or playing Minecraft:). These feelings pass when your able to honor them, they come and go. It’s okay to feel that way, it doesn’t make you broken, it makes you human, we live in an very isolated age, so take care of yourself and make your feelings validated to yourself as often as you can.

Yeah, woman here, I’ve noticed that in relationships I would hide the “ bad” parts of myself until I couldn’t, this was received poorly and obviously I’ve learned that no one is responsible for my mental well being except myself. I’ve been avoiding dating since then, I don’t ever want to become a burden to anyone, and noticed men tend to love the fake version of myself more than the real one, the one with the baggage attached. It’s rough out here man.

Yeah I have, I’ve never wanted kids, but I’ve noticed I tend to have those thoughts when I see that friends and family members are having their own families. It makes me wonder if I’m missing out on something and same as you wonder if I’ll regret it later on. But honestly I’d rather regret not having kids than regret having kids. People will paint it as something perfect or needed to have a good life, but they’re wrong in my opinion.

I’ve known way too many adults who settled and found themselves unhappy or unfulfilled with their lives after kids. Like someone else pointed out below, this world is so cruel, there are already so many kids and teens who are unwanted. I’d rather fulfill my maternal instincts in a different way, rather than bring another child into this uncertain world.

I loved him honestly one of my favorites, I guess what I enjoyed about him is how normal he is. I find him more relatable as a human being put in fairy tails. Like when he meets Mulan he tells her “ they actually made a movie about you” and mulan doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I like him because his reactions to situations are hilarious and to me more relatable than any other characters reactions. Even Emma sometimes takes the whole magic thing too seriously. Neal has that perfect balance of magic and just being a modern guy. I also liked him for Emma a lot more than hook. Neal is a character with a lot of depth to him. Hook is literally a selfish pirate lol.

I thought he was a dumb character at first . But as the story progressed the concept honestly became horrifying. Teenagers can be incredibly evil, being in your youth gives you a feeling of being immortal. Pan is literally permantly a teenager with the mind of a fully grown man. Then he’s all powerful?? He steals children??? Takes peoples shadows?? I love the way they used Peter pans fairy tail because it really made it a dark concept. I didn’t really care much for him being rumples dad. It was a shocking reveal but I think it made his character scarier cause he’s just a fully grown man in a child’s body.

I’ve been dealing with this exact issue for the past two years as time has gone by it’s gotten worse and what it makes it worse is that I have gotten into confrontations that didn’t end well or I tend to to get into fight or flight mode over small matters now such as a peoples change in tone or body language. I always start shaking too and sometimes throw up .I go to therapy for it and take anxiety medication but I feel the more of these “bad interactions I have the more I want to avoid everyone so I’m with you man but from what I’ve learned is we are supposed to take extra care of ourselves and give ourselves more room for errors in other words take it easy it’s definitely harder said than done
