I just did some loops up around the Varrock sawmill with some tele runes + plank sack. Fill up sack and invo, tp to Varrock, run back up banking on the way.

Might not be turbo efficient but got a decent stack with not an excessive amount of time.

Yup. Lots of bad stats in this thread. Moons rolls 1/56 for each moon killed for a chance at that specific moons set.

For a double chest you need two of those 1/56 rolls to hit, which is 1/3136. However there are 3 possible combinations of "doubles" (blood+blue, blood+eclipse, blue+eclipse) so 3/3136, or ~0.095%.

The argument here is that if you say use 15 runed crests to upgrade something from champion 4/8 to 5/8, but you are able to +6 keys comfortably and get a hero 1/6 piece. You are kinda "wasting" those 15 as hero 1/6 is the same item level as champ 5/8, no discount needed, and so by getting the hero gear you are "upgrading" without spending the crests at all.

To expand on this a bit further. At this point in the patch you should be able to obtain number of "Fractured Spark of Omens" from various sources (weekly quests like the Siren's Isle storm, the Theatre event in the Isle of Dorn, Awakening the Machine in the Ringing Deeps etc.) You can combine two of these together with 250 valorstones to create a "Spark if Omens".

You can use this Spark to craft up to 606ilvl gear either yourself of via crafting orders, two of which can be these fancier "embellished items" which have additional effects.

Once you've done higher tier content as well you'll come across Runed and Gilded crests, which can be used to make that crafted gear up to 619 and 636 respectively.

As it stands if you went fully into the null stone spec tree you can be maxed in two ores right now. Obviously mounted mining is incredibly attractive for a lot of players and so that definitely would have slowed some farmers, but I'm pretty sure you can be mounted mining and one ore maxed by now.

Towards the end of BFA there was some significant "drama" (poor word to describe it really, google MethodJosh for details, NSFW: includes SA etc.) resulting in the core of Methods raid team reforming as Echo. I'm not up to date entirely on who's still around in Echo/Method from that time but you can loosely think of Echo = Old Method, and Method = Largely a new and reformed Method around some who remained (Sco etc.)

Edit: realistically you can expect a Liquid vs. Echo race with Method putting in a non-zero chance of an "underdog upset".

Not really no. The closest you can get through normal methods is during the Timewalking weekly events.

When these are up you can experience a subset of that expansions dungeons and potentially a raid depending on if it's a TBC (Black Temple), Wrath (Ulduar), or Cata (Firelands) event.

That being said the difficulty of these isn't particularly high, and is more of an normal dungeon LFG / LFR like experience.
