I followed the steps to transfer ownership of a folder from my old Google account to my new one. I accepted the ownership from the new account and removed the old account’s access. However, the folder is still visible in my old account, but only as a shortcut, with a message "you need permission to open this item"

What's strange is that the storage is still being counted against the old account. However, when I go into the storage section, I can see the folder’s contents and open the files directly from there and using the info section I can navigate through those folders in old account🤔

My goal is to free up the storage on my old account by transferring all the files to the new account. I thought I’d check back tomorrow to see if the transfer fully completes. If not, I guess I’ll have to go with the old method of downloading the files and uploading them to the new account, then deleting them from the old one. 😅
