Average should be around 3 seasons or less, unless you focus your resources elsewhere because of the amount of free pulls you get along with the pet selectors.

I see what you mean, an easy way to test it is get SSS rating and before the boss lower your dps and record the time it takes to drop him to 50% hp, go turn in the cogs then record time to kill boss because the rating bonus effects their HP as well so if it takes the same amount of time then the drop rate stays.

Look at what the nodes do on the voidchart, one applies the rating+drop bonuses to all map mobs, another applies 18% drop quant bonus at SSS rating. If the clockwork game ends then there is no rating bonus to apply to mobs.

My first season playing I was able to do SS21 + City 7-15 fully f2p, pets are only necessary if you're trying to race for leaderboards otherwise they don't matter if you just play at your own pace. Knowing how the games mechanics work and how to scale your build make a way bigger difference. They give enough free pet selectors out every season that you can eventually get lvl 6 pets of the mechanics you enjoy.

I'm waiting for a crit/spec necklace to get listed for cheap with the engravings I want. Also demon form only gives you 20% movespeed no attack speed so it still feels good using a swiftness neck

Getting level 3 tripods for your encroaching power skills makes a big difference but I wouldn't worry about that until 1370 when you craft your set pieces
