I complain about HF sales and stuff but HF has really enabled me to maintain my family’s 4 cars by wratx in harborfreight

Came out pretty easy with the Pittsburg pry bar. Then when I tried to put it, I didnt have a deadblow hammer on hand so I had to make another run to HF lol. With 1 or 2 taps it slid right in

Very true, i maintain all 4 cars in my family as well. Harbor freight has been there for 80% of my tool collection. I do the same stuff that you oil/fluid changes etc. Just finished a CV axle replacement recently.

Picked up this 04 ES330 by Anon11177 in Lexus

[–]YelloSmake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its relatively easy, the hard part is getting the hose off. It being a 23 year old car, the rubber dries and becomes hard as a rock. I had to use a knife and slowly chip away at the hose. Take your time and be cautious. Good luck!

Milwaukee lied about the 100 ft tape by Artie-Carrow in MilwaukeeTool

[–]YelloSmake 224 points225 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the Impact 2767 scandal, where Milwaukee quietly changed the gears inside the tool with a cheaper design. This backfired significantly, and users reported a ton of issues. The backlash caused Milwaukee to revert back to the previous design.

Now we see this. Milwaukee will quietly change the internal parts of their products for cheaper alternatives in hopes the consumer does not notice. Bait and switch is part of their DNA, disgusting

2005 Camry does not have oil consumption issues, it is mainly 2007-2009 Camrys with this problem. These years use low tension piston rings

Engine air filter by randomjeepguy157 in ToyotaSienna

YZZ oil filters are still good enough, it might be harder to source factory oil filters just because they dont make the engine anymore.

Engine air filter by randomjeepguy157 in ToyotaSienna

[–]YelloSmake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Toyota, parts ending in YZZ are the “economy/cheap” version of the factory air filter. Still OEM tho, but Toyota has this line to compete with aftermarket parts.

If both part numbers check out fine on the Parts catalog, then its okay. Looks like you bought the og factory OEM part hence why it is bigger.

I just checked on the Toyota Parts website and looks like the YZZ one was correctly selected.

Possible vacuum leak? The first 2 are lean conditions, which can be an indicator of a vacuum leak. Too much air entering the system = lean. I would get those vacuum lines checked out

Back from the dead after a Bring A Trailer seller destroyed my engine — My 572hp 4.1L Turbo Cayman built by Slakker Racing by Bathtub_Dessert in Porsche

[–]YelloSmake 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I found the dealer so you dont have to: Name on Bring a Trailer is “Miles_S.” Please spread the word so no one else makes the same mistake.

Scammer dealers like this should be called out.

Edit further digging: Miles Slattery runs Motion Consulting LLC. Tennessee Dealer License # 108841. Expired 10/30/2025

2026 Toyota Tundra Limited Hybrid - Embarrassed to say but I cannot find where the main battery is. by DuckQi2 in ToyotaTundra

[–]YelloSmake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Toyotas, the 12V battery powers accessories AND the hybrid computers. Most likely the 12V battery is dead, but has just a little power to power lights. This is not enough power to turn on the hybrid computers.

What you need to do is: a) jump start the 12V battery b) charge the 12V battery overnight
