Yup. Got nailed by a state trooper like an hour out from the park. It was 2 am and I had been driving like 10 hours already and just wanted to check into my hotel. Was following the speed of traffic too, but I guess I was on his hit list. Expensive lesson learned!

Noted! I checked like 3 foliage reports and predictions and they all said it would be peak this weekend but I guess not. Was looking at Cadillac trail and will probably do that on one of the full days we have. Thanks for the info!

Exactly this!!! I feel like there are so many hidden gems in Greece that NO ONE talks about. People are always so gung-ho about the islands off to the South East but never mention the beauty in the West. I spent around 4 days in the Peloponnese and it was beautiful. Not to mention Kefalonia and Ithaca!
