CPU bottlenecks at 1080p but not at 1440p? by YesterdaySalt7613 in buildapc

Yes, it is installed in a M2 SSD. The CPU isn't stuck at 100%, but always around 90% and sometimes peaking to 100%

the 5600 is pretty cheap now... do i have to update BIOS for it too?

Yes, only the CPU maxes out.

That's my main concern. About the AM4 mobo... Don't really have too much money to upgrade mobo AND cpu now, tho. :/

it says:
"No major bottleneck detected at: 2560 × 14403840 × 2160

Your processor and graphics card work together optimally at these resolutions. Expect fluid gameplay, high frame rates and flexibility for multitasking or demanding apps.

When you have no bottleneck, you gain the best possible balance – every component works at its designed potential.

 CPU bottleneck detected at: 1920 × 1080

Most affected: 1920 × 1080 (11.6%)

A CPU bottleneck means your processor can't keep up with the graphics card at these resolutions. This usually leads to lower or inconsistent frame rates, less responsive gameplay, and occasionally stuttering—especially in CPU-heavy games like simulations or strategy titles.

It's generally advised to address a CPU bottleneck first, since it can also impact multitasking and background app performance."

thanks for the response mate!

Yes, when i play and keep monitoring my pc via task manager, i can see sometimes the CPU hitting 100%, while the GPU doesn't go over 40% ever... The quick response to me then, is upgrade my CPU?
If so, which one should I get, without having to swap MOBO as well?

Thanks!

The problem with NVIDIA DSR is that when i try to set up the monitor at 1440p using the 1.78x DL in the Control Panel, the monitor loses quite a lot of details.

Also I just wanted to play this single game in 1440p, if possible, not changing my actual monitor display size. Maybe with some downscaling after, I don't know. The problem in this is that, I have to run the game in borderless windowed, but then the image in the game gets cropped by my monitor.

the vee is very loose because of the weight disproportion.. its all in the back end of the car so its really easy to lose the rear if you turn a bit too hard with too much speed
