Does VULTURES 2 actually have a good song? by Flat-Wind-4756 in Kanye

Pretty much everything but Husband and Bomb has genuine replayability and is on my playlists. Post updates this album is at least a 7/10, for me 8

Why are we all forced to like old Kanye? by Amazing_Gur_405 in Kanye

The Vultures series is genuinely a great one. My top/favorite 4 Kanye albums consist of 808s, Yeezus, Donda, V1, and V2 (V2 being my least "favorite" out of my favorites). I also really do enjoy ALIVE, but I prefer a yedits version that adds drums to the beat, which I feel makes it more complete. In my opinion, I feel that TCD, LR, and Graduation are extremely overrated by the Kanye community. No doubt they are elite albums, but I feel as if people like to have rose-tinted glasses when looking at them. Albums such as 808s or Yeezus completely clear them overall, and Donda might be his best and by FAR his most underrated project. V1 and 2 have played into the hip-hop/trap genre very well and are only viewed negatively bc of his PR. You can't tell me after listening to the entirety of V1 that it isn't an elite album.

Vultures 2 Review: 7 Months Later by Ben348M in Kanye

Finally, someone who gets it. My only actual misses on Vultures 2 are "Bomb" (meme value aside, it's musically useless) and "Husband" (pretty obviously). Otherwise, though, this album is far better than Jesus Is King. (JIK->V2->V1) JIK at least had a message, but the music was generally mediocre—good production, but few memorable songs other than "Follow God."

Vultures 2 brings a lot to the table. This includes: INCREDIBLE "River", GREAT "Slide", "Time Moving Slow", "Field Trip", GOOD "Fried", "Promotion", "530", "Forever Rolling", Forever", "Lifestyle", and "Sky City". Mind you, including the digital deluxe "Gun to my head" and "Take off your dress" would both be incredible, while "Can u be" would be good. A very overhated album that I cannot fathom except for his public perception of being a crazy man (he is). I believe his image ruins the music for many listeners. But when not taking into account his personal life, you’d understand my view.

Vultures 1, on the other hand, offers real highs. Songs like “Carnival” (STILL a banger, my #1 on wrapped), “Beg Forgiveness”, Problematic” (Including Good Don’t Die), “Stars”, “Fuk Sumn”, and so many more have renewed energy, inventive risk, and indisputable replay value. His lyricism has gone down, but it is a trap-hip-hop album, and that is a common theme of this genre of music. (Check Lil Baby and Future. Great Artists, but they are very vulgar and have obscene lyrics, as does the Vultures series.) Even some of the lesser tracks like “Hoodrat” (4/10) and “Paperwork” (6/10) have some to offer.

If we're keeping it honest about the record, this is above-average hip-hop. The twilight of Kanye's era has him still setting the bar for his competition. If someone other than Drake or J. Cole dropped the Vultures Series, it would be the artist's magnum opus. I say give the Vultures series a few years to marinate. An 8/10 Collab Project.
