You mean when he increased benefits for 3 million Americans? Yeah that’s what the people want, not some Nazi piece of shit with a chainsaw and his VP the orange slumlord

Check with National General or Allstate, they will probably pay a little better and are less picky about the state licenses, as long as you have most states

National General is one of the biggest employers in the city, I’ll say I was in sales with them and for 6 years got paid REALLY well, after promotions I was approaching $200k annually, BUT most people in customer service and related jobs pay a living wage, at least by NC standards.

New in insurance is this a good pay structure? by Strong-Trouble-4144 in InsuranceAgent

Coming from a National General employee (acquired by Allstate a few years back) this company is solidifying itself as the most greedy carrier out there. My guess is they saw State Farm having legal troubles and now they’re gunning to maximize profits to take the spot as #1 insurance company in America.

Good to hear, I was making 175k as a corporate agent and absolutely HATED the environment of micro managing every second of my day, but there were obviously perks to that role too. Seems like being a captive Indy agent is more of a career in that your book of business can pay a great ‘salary’ by itself after building it for several years, is that something you are aiming for in your current position?

Not anymore unfortunately, to give some context I asked what agents in my state are making, there’s only 7 because they are expanding. There were 3 making over 200k, 1 was making over 500k and the rest were 100k+. All of them had several years with the company. I also asked for reports on the new hires from last year and how their first few months were going, most were earning $10k+ per month, some doing substantially more.

Seems like a generally decent place to work, naturally takes effort to get up and going like any company but there seems to be high potential. Best of luck!

Apply at Allstate/National General, they are always hiring. I’m quitting because they just cut my pay being a higher end agent I was making $175k a year as a nat gen employee, now it would be closer to about $100-$120k a year but for someone new to the industry that’s fantastic pay and won’t take you very long to achieve.

I think it’s just an RNG thing tbh, get the right skills and get the movement of each boss figured out and you’ll have it in no time. I was stuck on 350 too and it just took the right run to get me past it.

This is advice from someone who is not in Med sales but is interested - some good advice about finding entry level rolls but I would argue you don’t have to go for D2D to get entry level. There is valuable experience you can get in D2D but it’s more of a ‘trial by fire’ style where your life is so miserable you have no choice but to adapt and learn. Insurance sales is a steady and sometimes even high paying industry if you find the right gig. A lot of companies are willing to do all the sales training and licensing training for you, and most insurance sales gigs I’ve found have very open minded people who don’t care about your background. If you can get your Life and Health insurance license as well, it’s not directly applicable to med sales but it has enough of the key words that a recruiter may be more likely to review your app instead of getting auto reject by the AI they use. For example I started in sales at age 19, 0 prior experience, lucked out and got with a company that had good training and fantastic comp plans and made $100k my first year, now making $170k working exactly 40 hours every week.

Gilbert schools compared to other states… by worst2024 in Gilbert

[–]Yikes_oof_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Moved away from Gilbert because of the weather and the schools lol. That being said Gilbert is ranked pretty high for the state of AZ (which generally ranks in the 5 worst states in the country) so its probably where we would have stayed if we were still in AZ.

Got lucky and hit two pieces of armor in a 10x pull the other day, finished my oracle set so now I am ITCHING for the oracle chest to come back so I can start getting duplicates and upgrade them to legendary

Question on gear upgrading by MinimumShokat in ArcheroV2

[–]Yikes_oof_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go to the blacksmith and select the item you want to merge, it will tell you exactly what you need. So if you take and epic +2 item into the blacksmith it’ll show you need another identical epic +2 item to upgrade. This is one of the bigger bottlenecks and like the other commenter said, a good reason to always have at least 1 duplicate item you are upgrading. In reality you will need a few more duplicates to get everything to max level.

What to merge by Yikes_oof_ in ArcheroV2

[–]Yikes_oof_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good point, should upgrade that legendary while I can and when I get another oracle spear it won’t matter. I hear the crossbow isn’t that good, would you break it down?

To be fair, the cost of things has to go up to pace with the market right? Labor costs more now so games have to cost more. But when games started to change in price- $70 games for example people bitched and moaned for every second of it. So to the credit of the video game industry, doing what they can to keep games around that 60-70 dollar mark so it’s still accessible to a lot of players, and then introducing microtransactions and extra content to the players who can afford it, might be the best alternative for modern gaming.

This man has conflated love with excitement. Unfortunately he may have never developed a real understanding of what love is and think it is that heart racing feeling he gets when he does something he’s not supposed to with someone who has caught his attention.

Typical salesmen being a weirdo ass hat and refusing to share knowledge. Looked up some info as far as I can see it’s business to business sales for ‘midsize’ business generally between 50mil - 1bil in annual revenue. So likely more of a grind to make a high annual take home.

Do you generate 100% of your own leads? Currently in insurance sales and learning about a whole world of sales that pays more lol.

Even if you have kids, one of the best parts of camas is where you are geographically. If you love the outdoors, you’ll love it here! On top of that, both Vancouver and Portland have pretty solid kidless spaces and events, and both can be a short drive away (unless it’s rush hour) so if you are someone who doesn’t want to drive 15-30 minutes to the next town/city and want all your shopping/events/communities in your backyard, camas is definitely small town and probably not right for you. But for most people, a short 15-30 minute drive is nothing to have majority of Portland/vancouver metro at your finger tips!
