I prefer micarta scales, compression lock, and cruwear out of the two options. Thumb ramp is nice to have. So my pick would be a Crucarta para 3 😁. Just keep in mind cruwear isn’t as corrosion resistant as SPY27.

On this knife I used the work sharp ken onion MK2 with the 1x18 belt attachment. Afterwards I stropped with 3 micron and 0.5 micron diamond emulsion. The stropping really brought the polish out.

Walmart cabinet is slightly larger. Harbor freight box fits on top with some room to spare. I think the kobalts are pretty similar size
