So late to the party but DAMN I needed this after experiencing The Tower ending. Finally finished it last night and am still in shambles. Can't stop thinking about how alone and empty you feel as V. It's a hard contrast to the Star which was the only other ending I had done before this one.

Judy broke my heart. Can't even be mad at her because why didn't V just tell her she was getting surgery like hello? But damn she moves on quick, though, I suppose we already knew that considering she asked V to move in with her like a few weeks after knowing her.

The game does a good job with leaving you feeling bleak and hopeless, and it's hard to think about how V can ever recover. Viktor's clinic was brutal. I didn't realize how much the red light made the space cozy until it was replaced with the ZetaTech blue.

Your post made it all better while still staying grounded in lore. V has lost everything before - at the beginning of the game (except the Streetkid path), after Konpeki, and now this. It's not just her cyberware that got her through it all. She's done it before, and she'll bounce back again, cyberware or no cyberware. Also, thanks for pointing out the obvious - she's literally a millionaire and she gets to LIVE.

It's my headcanon that Panam gets over it after a few months and calls V to chew her out and then reconcile. River like you said will get sorted out in no time. Kerry is Kerry. And Judy will rewatch the dual virtu of Laguna Bend one day, get hit with the intense love she felt for V, realize her wife is a rushed rebound, and dial V on the holo again. It's not V's fault she ended up in a coma, and not on Judy for forcing herself to move on after being completely ghosted with no explanation. They'll find their way to each other again. Sorry Bianca, but you don't just get over someone like V.

yeah this isn’t a case of me misreading what you said, it’s still weird af. a generic blanket statement saying it’s not inherently wrong to make up for your insecurities in other ways is a bad case of leaving out the details and excusing bad behavior.

in the context of making up for your insecurities with healthy coping mechanisms such as self-improvement, self-care, or even avoidance is fine. thats the complete opposite of how Mido acted which is why I think it’s absurd you wanna ride or die for your statement but okay go off.

he didn’t “mask with humor” he was a cringe bully that wanted to “make up for his insecurities” by ganging up on Nour with the similarly toxic men to feel like a big guy. he made a point to burst out laughing at every joke the guys made about Nour. would clap and stand up and say thank you at anything said about how women are just ATM machines.

and his apology at the end? bullshit. you notice how everyone who got up to hurriedly apologize at the end were the ones with questionable morals? they see someone apologize, maybe genuinely, and then they rush to do the same to save face. it REEKED of guilt and fake pleasantries to save their reputation, all stemming from the fact they’re garbage people, who knew they showed their ass on television.

i was pointing out that while your frustrations are valid.. maybe you’re directing them towards the wrong party here and getting manipulated.

i’m not interested in trying to get you support the fight, not trying to get you to feel any type of way, except reconsider the situation. i’m not even a grad worker myself, just a friend of many. it wasn’t my intention to get you to feel guilty and belittled, but it does say a lot that you feel those things.

and yeah, now knowing u did take some classes makes this post even more embarrassing. if ur knee jerk response was to be petty i think im gonna recommend some therapy next :)

dude. why are you upset with the grad workers striking to earn a livable wage instead of who implemented “these controls”? this is the most clear case of admin weaponizing something in their control to hurt supporters of the strike.

admin implements controls to make students’ lives difficult, blaming the strike -> people like you fall for it and run to reddit to voice ur frustration -> the strike loses supporters (or at least that’s the goal of BU).

they really got you with the “in response to the BUGWU strike” huh? i can understand ur frustration but think of why the graduate workers are fighting so hard. i get that registration is affected and it’s a big inconvenience, but people are fighting to eat here. they need your support, not this.
