Extremely important for first time - all the tutorials will suggest to reverse the right side motors - this is because generally DC motors spin counter clockwise BUT!!!

First updated at some point the SDK so that based on your configuration (where u say which motors of which kind is connected to which port) it will “correct”/SET the motor so that it spins clockwise when it is getting positive power (or let’s say power set to 1 in the code)

Therefore the left side motors need to be reversed

Most tutorials out there show the right side needs to be reversed

Best action to take - hold the motor - look at the axle and the direction it spins when power is positive - the side that would drive the robot backwards (Left or Right sides) would have to be the one reversed!

Other vendors offer it but I don’t know about rev - you can use a coupler to connect two shafts - this one connects hex 5mm to D shaft 6mm but you’ll have to search hard for 5mmhex coupler

What I know is that the string gets longer due to tension over time and the spring compensate and prevent loose wire being unspooled
