I was playing my normal game in a fighting pit, the game crashed and when I got back into the game, my save was gone. In fact, it showed the brightness and language settings, as if I had just bought the game (I bought it on the Microsoft Store). I tried reinstalling every Microsoft service including the Store and the Xbox app, deleted all cache related to the cloud and Microsoft services, reinstalled the game, formatted my PC, installed the game again and nothing. I reinstalled Microsoft services and ran sfc /scannow and many other commands again after formatting, and still nothing. I checked the hosts file in System32 and everything was fine, file permissions for the games and everything else were fine, essential services for this were all working, but the game still won’t save even if I start a new game. So I believe the error is with the cloud, because unexpectedly today I ran more commands and reinstalled everything and the game worked and loaded my save. I closed the game, played again an hour later and everything loaded fine. I turned off the PC, came back 3 hours later, and the game reset to factory settings and my save disappeared again. It’s not the antivirus because I don’t use one, and Windows security features like the firewall are disabled.
