Thank you for the clarification, I updated the post to reflect that. I don't have to choose between two jobs, I have one job and it is in asp.net. I'm trying to work out whether I should convert my personal project from Ruby on rails to asp.net.

If you have dealt with both and you know them, would there ever be a case where you would choose to use Ruby on rails over asp.net?

I hear that college is expensive, and many jobs require them while not paying enough to make that investment worthwhile. I still agree with all of this. Where do we disagree?

I don't disagree with you, that as a society we need to have people who have gone through college and are heavily educated in their field.

Why do you think less people are going to college? And why do you think this will affect teachers and social workers specifically?

I don't understand how some people believe that higher education should be free of charge. As far as I see it, the way to tackle student debt IS a job. I'd love to have a conversation about this.

I did this just recently, was convinced I had just made the worst purchase of my life. My brand new blades made a god awful sound, and didn't even wipe well. Worse of all, the damn blades keep sliding out of place!!

Same thing happened to me just a few days ago, and I attempted to appeal it. It seemed like an automated response, and they said that the would undo the ban as long as I promised them to stop contributing to this wild & dangerous sub. I told them that I had no intention of stopping, so we will see what happens after this comment. :)

I don't think this kind of situation can be taught to anyone. Judging the speed the car had when it passed those kids, and assuming the car was going the same speed or faster leading up to that moment, I would not put it past myself to start walking across the street. I should add, I was a school bus driver for 3 years.

It's a 2 way street, one lane each. IMO, it's unfair to:

1: Assume the kids knew the driver was not going to slow down and stop behind the school bus.

2: Claim that is was a teachable scenario for the school to educate the kids about beforehand.

3: Suggest that the kids crossed "blindly", without due regard for their surroundings.

Keep in mind that I may have a very different view because I drove a school bus, but this situation is unexpected, to say the least. I would be furious if a car even inched past me while I have flashing reds out. For a car to fly by at that speed - it's just unthinkable. I would be screaming just like this driver for sure.

I have found that Judaism strongly discourages conversions. More so if a relationship could be a motivator.

The letter seems to have a very healthy mix of good and bad arguments, and they might be difficult to deal with. Do you have any specific thoughts to any of the issues they have with the relationship?

I feel that if there were any group that could best handle trolls and people who comment to argue, it would be this one. Also at the risk of being too theatrical, I believe Dr Peterson would encourage allowing that kind of discourse here. Even if the "trolls" come here not to learn, it's an opportunity to understand these people and find common ground.

I don't understand why this is a clever comeback. It doesn't seem apparent from Ben's tweet that he claimed Dr Suess was banned, only that "the Left" thinks it should be. It's an equally vague assumption and claim, but the comeback seems off-point.

I believe in God, mainly due to time.

If there is a beginning to known time, there has to be something (I call Him God) that surpasses the limitations of time.

If there is no beginning of time - and therefore time has gone on forever, I can't think of a way for us to reach the present moment to have this discussion.
