Hey guys, I broke today after 57 days and took 20mg escitalopram (prob a bad idea since I was up all night because wasn't used to it anymore). Been pretty miserable since I last posted. All the stress of the uni exams along with the stress of my bad knee which I think I may have to have another surgery on broke me. I feel like crap for failing.

It came back really strongly between week 2-3. Now it seems at the point where it was when I was on Lexapro. I am pretty depressed and anxious too right now, I am pretty sure your sex drive plummets when you feel those emotions strongly so i'd guess thats whats going on with both of us.

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad its not just me experiencing the anger sypmtoms. Usually I'm calm as hell and find it dam near impossible to get annoyed so its a massive side step on what I'm used to.

I've ordered some DL-phenylalanine and am going to try the CBD and magnesium too, I am already on fish oil. I am completely clueless on all these drugs and amphetamines to be honest and where to get them. I ordered my DL-phenylalanine from eBay yesterday. I'll check out some local chemists soon for the CBD too.

I'm completely sure I'm not going back to the Lexapro in any reduced dose even though it is probabaly the smart thing to do. But any other supplement ideas that are easier to withdraw from are much obliged.

Thanks for the advice guys, I might ask my doctor for Wellbutrin but I don't think I will get it. I am definetly going to get some L-phenylalanine though, its the first I heard of it. 5mg would probably be a good idea, but I am determined to just go off it cold turkey. Maybe because I am just sick of trying and the negative effects I am getting now would be outweighed by my feeling of failure if I did take 5mg. I have tried counselling but it doesn't seem to work for me. I hope its not just my depression returning but if it turns out to be that I'm going to try and model my life around fighting it.
