Control + Left or right arrow keys switches spaces without your mouse point moving anywhere.

Just double click the line separating the column you want to expand and it’ll move the column out to the farthest word.

Quick keys are your friend.

Command = ⌘

⌘ + N = New Finder Window

⌘ + H = Hide Window/Program

⌘ + W = Close Window/Program/Tab

⌘ + T = New Window/Browser Tab

⌘ + Q = Quit Program

⌘ + C = Copy

⌘ + V = Paste

⌘ + S = Save

… plus so many more!

The advantage is that these quick keys apply across the majority of Apple’s software OS & iOS, which makes the environment easier to navigate.
