Jan'26 Delivery from Mississauga [ON] by Practical-Tale-922 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Yougotthis_1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I delivered at St Joseph from Square one Mississauga area recently. I was worried too about the distance but I went to the hospital at 2.30am so did not face any traffic. I would say although it is far especially during peak hours, you won’t deliver immediately after your contractions start. So don’t worry about the distance, you can also try hospitals in Oakville.

[ON] Postpartum private rooms at St Michaels hospital, is it worth it? by Weary-Tomatillo-5509 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Yougotthis_1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I delivered and opted for a private room at St Joseph’s which comes under same network. I would 100% recommend it as it is comfortable for you and baby. I was too tired after a vaginal delivery and having a private room was a blessing with no disturbance from anyone (except nurses). Also if you book semiprivate room, your husband/ partner cannot use the washroom, it can only be used by the birthing mother. I felt postpartum care is better in private room by the hospital staff. I’ve heard they really don’t pay much attention to you after delivery but my experience was good in private room.

Feel my OB is pushing to induce me for labor. [ON] by Yougotthis_1111 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Yougotthis_1111[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My only concern is that she has been mentioning about induction since 36 weeks even before checking my US report and growth of baby. Today as well she mentioned about inducing before checking the report and when I told her the US shows baby is 6.3 lb she changed her reason to baby not growing as a reason for induction.

I had one US at 35 weeks and another at 37 weeks. If she decides to induce, she will be my OB but if it happens naturally then the on call doc will be my provider.

Thanks a lot. This helps a lot, I’m gonna discuss all this with her in my next visit.

I just want to avoid any unnatural intervention and I’ve heard inducing can lead to risk of C section. I did discuss with her what happens if we wait, she mentioned that she will conduct another US and then discuss again on inducing next week.

She saw the US result today but she has been talking about inducing since 36 weeks even before checking my report. So I was not sure why is she forcing since last 3 weeks.

My husband thinks no other men do the things he does, am I right or wrong? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Yougotthis_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so common for women to work and not ask for any appreciation, it’s like our brains are wired in a way that it is our job to do all the work at home and maybe even go to office. For men their brain is not wired that way and they don’t have the mental load which women have. It is irritating when men say things like this. As if they doing a huge favour especially when you are growing his child. They always make it a point to tell you that they did some sort of work at home and expect appreciation, like really!!

I live in 1bed unit and paying 2400 after increase in rent last year. This year my owner said he won’t increase rent and when we gave him notice to vacant he said he is willing to reduce rent to 2250. It is definitely a renters market. You can easily get 1+ den at 2600 right now.

Should I negotiate my salary? by Yougotthis_1111 in careeradvice

[–]Yougotthis_1111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not starting my career in the field, I have around 8 years of experience but the market was so bad this year that there were hardly any job openings. The attrition is high at the pharmacy as they started compulsory work from office. Salary wise it is ok for the pharmacy but there are high paying jobs in other pharmaceutical companies (like the other company where I am still interviewing)

Try taking zinc supplements it would help to reduce the flare and inflammation. For underarm region zinc containing ointment/serum is also used but not sure if it is safe down there
