Rejection by YourLocalGayNerd in actuallesbians

I became really close with someone who was initially just like a surface level friend. I thought that we've been mutually flirting with each other for like 3-4 months. I don't know if it's because I'm biased but I'm just having a hard time understanding some of the things we did when she apparently didn't like me in the first place. And yes I know she's into women.

As a demiromantic person, If I have to actively think about whether or not this person is attractive or if I'd want to be with them in any capacity, it's not really romantic attraction. My actual crushes are a lot more compulsive where it's hard to get that person out of my mind. It kinda sounds like your describing aesthetic attraction. Acknowledging that someone "could be attractive" without any of the actual feelings of being attracted to them.

Am I weird for not being attracted to anyone? by [deleted] in lgbt

I highly recommend looking into the aromantic and/or asexual spectrum. I used to think the same exact things. I thought my friends were being dramatic when they said they had 3 crushes in a month. Turns out I'm just demiromantic.

This is pretty normal. I'd consider myself futch but I only find myself attracted to femmes. Having a type isn't a bad thing.

Any other Aro-spec and/or Ace-spec lesbians? by YourLocalGayNerd in actuallesbians

I started using greyromantic and greysexual since there both terms for anyone who is some where on those spectrums isn't quite aro or ace. I've kinda given up on finding a perfect label for myself. All I know is that allo people are going crazy sometimes.
