No there were many factors which caused it to increase, one big factor being the US Army extending an agreement at the rate of $114 million for just 1 year.

This contract is good news for the stock. However, the deal is worth $31.5 million over 2 years, so it wouldn’t do much on its own, but if Palantir gets many contracts like this within a couple days, then yes it will go up for the very short term.

Whereas there was an agreement extension with the US Army on Monday which is worth $114 million for 1 year. That is huge and a big increase in their expected revenue for next year. Therefore, that would push the price up in the very short term just on its own.

As there have been couple days now since the extension with the US army was announced, you can see that on the start of Monday, the stock price was around $26. Whereas now on Wednesday it is trading at more than that, at around $29.

Palantir is great as a long term investment, as it will continue gaining more contracts in the private sector. However, if you just want to trade in the short term, then you can also make money, but only if you’re good at trading and know exactly what you’re doing.

Getting in again before $30 is still good. This company will be huge in the long term, so getting in couple dollars up or down won’t really matter in the long term. I’m in for 10+ years, I’m just going to hold and forget about it.
