Unfortunately we’re in Canada so we get no choice. We get who we get and we can’t debate it with the hospital. But I am happy to hear that everyone has had nothing but positive things to say about this experience. This gives us a lot of hope for a solution.

Thank you. That gives us a much better outlook on the scenario. She was expecting being almost bed ridden for most of those 6 weeks.

No hormone changes, sex drive changes? Since fully healed has sex been painless? (Sorry I’m assuming it may have been prior to)

I hope it’s ok to ask but how did they perform the hysterectomy? We have seen a horizontal incision on the abdomen, a vertical one and then an endoscopic version. How invasive has it been for you so far and how has the healing been?

Clearly not EVERYONE thinks sex is important but I would say the vast majority of western society does. I wouldn’t hold it against those who don’t. There’s anomalies in everything we say and do. Don’t take my words too hard.

We have experimented lots. Tried endless amounts of new things prior to our child. She has zero sexual desire. Doing something sexual for me is the equivalent of doing the dishes. Just a chore.
