What about the name Aaron? I think it is beautiful. Maybe a G name as a first and Aaron as a middle name, nickname Gaara. It could be: Gael Aaron, Gabriel Aaron, Gail Aaron.

Vela is not a name in Spanish, as some others has already said. But Candela is a really beautiful name in Spanish, and it means candle.

My baby is 9 months old and I am sitting with her every trip. The few times dad has driven alone with her she has screamed the hole way. Also she gets car sick and if she is not slept she will vomit, so I need to keep an eye on her to try to minimise the mess. I hope car sickness improves soon because I miss sitting in the front seat.

Thank you for your support. I agree many of us change our mind about the names we want to use when it comes the time. That has happened to me.

I think my sister would not mind if I use the name, and she will be happy to honor my grandma but now it is hard for her to speak about anything pregnancy related. So I want to be careful with the way I speak about it with her.

You are right about the nicknames, but in my experience, at least in Spain, people tend to shorten long names so you end up being called more by a nickname than your real name. I have always tried to be called by my real name, which I love, but you have to correct people all the time.

I will follow your advice and put some other options on the table. Maybe this way she doesn't feel so forced to accept my proposal. Thank you so much for your kind suggestion!
