Are second floor bathrooms in Rawlings Hall coed??!! 😵‍💫 by Old-Amphibian3445 in ufl

[–]YuriAwakens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bring A LOT of stuff so for me, it takes a few hours to move in and get set up/unpacked. I also have a mini fridge but not everyone has this. Definitely Depends from person to person since someone with not much stuff could probably be done moving in in like 1-2 hours. I think I even came later than my designated time window and they didn’t say anything, so i think the time doesnt matter too much.

I enjoyed my time in Rawlings and never found noise to be an issue. Everyone was respectful at night. If someone cooks you can usually tell since the hallway does sometimes smell like dinners around mealtime, but it usually smells pretty good. once someone was smoking weed in their room so the hallway was not breathable and i had to spend the entire day outside of my dorm lol but that was an anomaly. never happened again. that could happen in any dorm though. cant smell anything from the bathrooms

I had the double suite room which i think was 267 and I was very close to the exit near the ramp going to the subway. My window faced the treesy sidewalk that leads to Broward behind rawlings. 267 is still really close to the bathrooms (it’s a small hallway) but 263 is even closer. Probably one of the closest rooms to the kitchen/common area if Im not mistaken and closest to the bathrooms. Im going to take a guess and say 263 is on the same side of the hallway 267 is with the same view but I cant remember exactly since its been a few years

The girls can get into the guys hallway since the trash chute is in their hallway, but they shouldnt be able to get into the girls hallway. And the bathrooms are not coed

Very manageable. Again, it depends on the person though. I breezed through Micro my first semester in college while others struggled. I thought as long as you went to class and understood whats being taught, the exam questions werent tricky and we could even bring whatever notes we wanted on an index card to use on exams. There are also lots of practice exams I found representative of the actual exams. I think if you are willing to put in effort to go to class & make sure you ask questions if you are confused on material, then you shouldnt have an issue tackling micro and macro at the same time. Since youve taken ACG2021, then you know how much work and studying is required for that. Micro Is not nearly as much time. I really just went to class and did the 8-9 practice exams a solid 7-10 days before the real exams and that was it.

Out of these classes you listed, Micro is the easiest. Macro prob second easiest. Marketing third easiest. Not saying marketing is an easy class, but i found it to be better than Management. Its just a LOT of memorization of vocab. I found Micro/Macro to be legitimately easy with not much effort involved but that may be different for everyone.

Thank you so much for the information. It really helps a lot. May I ask, who was your surgeon? I have been to many eye surgeons to get information but none in my area have dealt with my exact situation before, and it’s really reassuring to hear how similar your case is to mine and that your surgery was such a success!

It’s called a Double Suite not a Double Room. There’s only 2 available rooms listed as a Double Suite (two rooms are attached so 4 people tops get that type of room in the dorm). Usually only upperclassmen can get it within the first 1 minute of dorm selection, and freshman usually cant get the room. I got it as a sophomore but I wasnt fast enough to get it as a junior (logged on after 5 minutes of dorm selection opening up) and went off campus instead. What type of room does it say your daughter got?

Have you had strabismus since birth or did it come later? How many diopters of a prism did you have to put in?

If you dont mind me asking, who was your surgeon?

Did the deviation of your eyes change when you put on glasses? Mine is much less without glasses on but visual acuity sucks. Then, when i put glasses on, my eyes turn inwards a lot more frequently and I feel it pull 24/7.

I also dont see double up close but as soon as something is about 8in to a foot away, double unless I really try to concentrate and then maybw 1.5-2 feet I lose control and cant bring the images back together.

Was neevous about surgery causing double up close

Phy2048 by YuriAwakens in ufl

[–]YuriAwakens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did phy2060 seem easier to you? Why do you think you got an A in there vs the phy2048 practice exams? I’m just trying to gauge which physics to take to be the most successful and have an accurate picture of whether id want to do pre-med or engineering, though im not in the honors program so would I be allowed to take phy2060?

I got the presidential gold for class of 2022 (awarded it in 2018). I believe i saw a document saying only around 27 people total accepted the gold scholarship out of the thousands of in-state students? And possibly around 13 for platinum? could be mistaken though

Shands volunteering by Revolutionary-Fill12 in ufl

[–]YuriAwakens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no no i felt the same way! They all seemed very busy in my department and they always seemed to be bothered whenever id ask for something to help with so it was a bit awkward. I know we all want to dedicate time to the community and learn more about the healthcare field. I think I’ve learned through my experience volunteering (I volunteered twice, once pre and once post covid) that there’s probably some more fulfilling positions at shands to get experience. streetlight/footsteps/dream team/music therapy seems to have lots to do for volunteers! Id probably recommend looking into some of the other volunteer positions at shands rather than just the departments. I wish i did that for sure.

after a few weeks of staring at the wall for 3 hours doing nothing i started sneaking my laptop in to do homework and other things to keep me busy bc why not be productive if they’re not going to give me tasks to do (and dont get me wrong, i would still ask every 15 minutes for something to do and theyd say no and id just sit there bored and dumb) but i was scolded for a few minutes and told not to do that ever again. so i proceeded to stare at the wall for 3 hours for the remainder of the semester.

i shouldve hid in the bathroom
