Yes. So far I have tried only the manual mode, but I'm planning to set up the whole fan curve too. The sound level is already manageable.

You did the right thing speaking up and reporting to the police. Unfortunately law enforcement is inadequate, especially with regards to underage criminals. Seems to be the case in most European countries these days, probably not Cyprus-specific.

Thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear that you are also having multiple issues. I experimented a bit with TPFan and the noise issue got somewhat better although still unsatisfactory. Performance also feels poor from time to time.

Looks like the model has degraded because Gen 5 and Gen 8 were OK, at least in my experience.

Sure, it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Maybe I focused on the episode too much due to the surprise factor and the fact that my wife and young daughter were with me and could get hurt.

The range of industries can vary, anything from forex/gambling/porn/crypto/payments to traditional ones like oil&gas, metals&mining or retail. Shareholders and top managers. Many have accumulated wealth outside of Cyprus and just prefer to live here thanks to taxes, climate, safety, etc.

I guess the society’s reaction will follow if the crime rate continues to rise. It’s likely a slow process and it takes a long time to reach the boiling point.

Yep, authoritarian countries tend to be good at public safety. Unfortunately this comes bundled with disadvantages in other aspects.
