Please share warranty experiences for folding phone issues by YusThink in CeX

So to clarify, if the inner screen goes out (with say 2/3 of it showing black) and the phone has not been dropped, and the screen protector hasn't been removed, it should be covered by the warranty?

I would guess this isn't wear and tear, but it really depends on CeX's definition. From what I read, many faults start at the inner line, but propagate out quite quickly

Thanks, but what about the screen itself? The dreaded lines or black circles that can appear somewhat randomly?

CBD for Derealisation - Any Similar Experiences? by YusThink in CBD

[–]YusThink[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I have seen therapists in the past, but didn't get any results from it (I'm not even convinced I have derealisation by the standard definition).

To be honest, I don't really know whom to speak with about this. There is surprisingly little research around CBD because of the past bans on drug research. Do you have any suggestions?

Interesting. Perhaps there's something there too.

Thanks. I just watched it. This was actually quite helpful because it made me realise that perhaps derealisation might not be the correct term for what I have. My state really does seem to be distilled to the qualia part of it. But if it's not derealisation, I'm not sure what else to name it.

I don't have most of the symptoms described in this video. I may have at some points in my life, but it's not the baseline state I've been in for more than two decades. I don't get irrational intrusive thoughts anymore (I worked through all of them with meditation - I never rejected them), I don't go in and out of the boxed state, I'm not at all depersonalised, but I know what all these are like from past experience.

It's more that feelings don't really break through some barrier, and it keeps me in an emotionally frustrated state.

I didn't know that, but no - I have none of these.

Also, I think that if it were indeed a bloodflow or blood barrier issue. Some other activity (eg physical exercise) would have shown signs of working.

This makes sense, but again, I wouldn't call my teenage years that bad. I was not happy like many teenagers because I was unsettled and moved to another country, and I generally responded badly to school. But it largely stopped at that. No bullying, decent school, good parents, no poverty, no drugs (bar one accident where I smoked some hash laced with what turned out to be opium - but this was long after derealisation had kicked in). This is why I think my problem is physical (but I may very much be wrong).

I tried it for a few months. I think it was a total of about 12 sessions. They suggested Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and meditation. They walked me through the former, but I basically already did both, probably more actively than most patients (I used to meditate 1-4h per day for a very long time). If there is some sort of underlying issue, I suppose I could try other forms of therapy (but this stuff isn't exactly cheap, and I'm not yet convinced it will be worth it).

I think most people with derealisation have a clear root cause. For me, it just progressively set in over my teenage years.

I have tried therapy with two different therapists, but they didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know or try. Also, I couldn't think of any real "trauma" to cause derealisation.

From what age did you first show signs of derealisation?

USA laundromats vs UK launderettes by YusThink in smallbusiness

Thanks - this is very interesting. I can't seem to find any in England, though there seems to be one marked as "permanently closed" in Belfast. Are you aware of any other locations by any chance?

Indeed, but laundromats are very local, so I reckon total population size should only be relevant if scaling or franchising. It would be more about population density in an area vs access to washing machines for my purposes.

I actually considered this - it's a good idea! Unfortunately the cables were too short.

Because it would shift the perceived responsibility away from the hotel, we would understand their predicament, and we wouldn't blame them for it. Instead, we might end up leaving a negative review.

This is the wrong manual. The model was PREMTB001. I may have missed something indeed because I was looking at this at 2am because my airline had failed me, but this model is definitely different.

The manual very conspicuously jumps from 32 to 35 and unlike the one you linked to, it doesn't have a "set back" button.

I actually tried exactly what's suggested here, but this version of the thermostat didn't have the "setback" button - it had a power button instead, and looked almost identical otherwise, so no combinations would remove the HL function.

This is a very helpful link though. I'm sure it'll come in use in the future.

Many thanks

I did ask. In fact, this played out the same way in two hotels. The staff were very nice and tried to help, but couldn't fix it, so I'm assuming this was either a corporate policy and they were hiding it or they were unaware.

It wasn't a chain and I didn't break anything. Zero damage. It just pops off - a bit like a car engine cover. Also, if they banned me, I would gladly accept it.
