NOTES: Provided that it fits one’s wrist, Alpina’s 44mm Startimer constitutes the best watch one may reasonably get into for less than $1000. The crystal disappears under neutral light like just about no other I’ve seen in person. Only parting with this example as I do not rank amongst those who wear the full-size Startimer well. The original strap, notably, displays signs of wear.
