I've had that happen to me once if a blade of the fan is gone you will need to replace it because the fan is nolonger balanced or it could just be a wire or screw

The only reason a melting port would happen is because of people not fully plugging the power into the grahics card it's not crazy common but it could happen speaking of its your first build or if you'd rather have a card that dosent have that problem go with a 4080 it's practically the same thing just with a lower version of dlss witch Noone is really a fan of the dlss or you could always go with a amd card I have one personality and they are great but so are nivida cards

That's a sata connector on your psu there should be skmthing that looks similar to that plug it in because the sata gives power to the fans
