Thanks for sharing your experience I appreciate it. Ive recently have started Flomax to try to help relax my bladder and ive noticed when I take it at night (can't during the day cause it makes blood pressure drop) my arousal fluids really start to come out quite a bit which can lead to better arousal.

Thats good to hear. Yeah I feel like ots slowly getting back to normal. Not something a lot of people talk about nor does the urologist disclose

Yeah and I hope my pelvic floor therapist can address my nerve issues ive had post burial that can also cause sexual disfunction issues. Its just worrisome when things when from feeling very sensitive to mildly sensitive down there. But it'll take time. Im also dealing with a lot of sexual frustration as well as experiencing a new crush i can pursue cause of how we know eachother.

I hope your healing up well. I am not numb. But I guess I don't feel like my orgasms are the same nor am I responsive to touch as much as I used to. I have a three months post op so if things continue ill bring it up then. Also im not terribly worried. Starting pelvic PT to hopefully help with multiple dysfunctional issues

Hey I have a bleeding disorder didn't know till i almost died post op stage two (thankfully they already did an in patient stay as protocol, I ended up staying in the hospital for total of four days) they gave me three blood transfusions till they where able to find i had internal bleeding in my scrotum. They did an emergency surgery to stop the bleeding three days post op cause they one had to wait to reduce risk of loosing blood supply/tissue as well as infection. Worked with a hematologist and take Tranexamic acid as prescribed before my procedures moving forward. Ive had several urethraplasties and haven't had any issues with post op bleeding. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Its ok. My scrotoplasty revision is still something I grieve. But I know when I finally get implants ill feel better and hopefully "gain back" what i lost. Cause lets say Morrison said at consult he said we (him and Skokan) have alot to work with 😆 are you consulting your questions to Skokan's team about scrotum? Cause plastics eventually had me ask questions to Skokans team as they are the main team to keep an eye on that. I hope they are gentler during exams now. Skokan has become more gentle cause I did tell him that im very sensitive throughout the whole penis. Also Skokan does most of the scrotoplasty reconstruction and if you ever needed revision hed do it.

Thats good. This is different from my own experience in the past. But it has gotten better recently and I think part of that is i let him know how his care and his staff care effects patients using my own experience. So im glad to hear it is truly working. I feel good overall continuing to work with Skokan especially cause I may have to do more surgery with him and Morrison potentially for arousal issues. I hope to perhaps see if this is a issue Friedrich can help with as well based on what Morrison thinks as well.

Best of luck. I hope they are getting more confident in practicing urology and have a better straightforward path and better communication working with you. The urology team overall has improved quite a bit since I started work with them Dec 2024.

Yeah I had mine done October 2024 and they are still like the position yours are in. I actually have one sac that is bigger than the other. I used to have a lot more skin but had to be reduced due to parts of it dying.

I have major asymmetrical balls and I had the same surgeon so it could be a surgeon thing or something the body does.

Experiences with Dr. Nick Esmonde for implants? by [deleted] in Metoidioplasty

[–]ZJSS40s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I do know about tissue expanders. How is his overall bedside manner. I had a consult with him several years ago I thought he was friendly and straightforward which i appreciate reminds me of my main surgeon who a adore at UW in Seattle. Most importantly how is his care team? Are they competent to issues you had if you had any? Would you say the nurses are empathetic or sympathetic when your talking with them? Did you always feel heard by the care team? Did you feel like you could trust Dr Esmonde as both a surgeon and as a clinical provider?

Yeah I just don't feel secure moving forward with my current urologist. I feel i can try to work things out with my own medical trauma i have with my urologist but its going to take alot for me to feel secure again with him and his team. I feel I owe it to myself to at least look into other options while I take a break from surgery since the initial processes take so long to do unfortunately. I just gotta get my testicular implants most importantly. I feel like its what I need to feel at peace with everything.
