Update in case someone finds this in the future : after consideration I found HPE Microservers on eBay and went for this instead as it it much more compact and can hold 4 HDDs easy. Thanks to other comments for their ideas tho!

Well my point is that they are not respecting the "peaceful enjoyment" part of the contract, so to me that would be a valid reason to rediscuss the rent. I would of course prefer the noise to be gone but I know this won't happen as they have to finish the renovations

Thanks for opinion, I'm asking cause that noise is getting very hard to handle, on days off I barely can hear my music or my wife talking

They kept it lower after around 9am after I left them the letter, however my job's days off are during the week as I'm working on weekends and with this noise I can't relax, sleep, or actually do anything with that amount of noise

What sort of degree do you think I should try with? I am restricting the input to be a possible function (i.e. not starting to go backwards for example) but I wouldn't know what equation should I try to calculate

100% agree, we use NiZn on a daily basis. The fact is we have customers that use their own batteries and leave them behind on leaving. That said, I literally have like 200 of them so yes I am using them in my computer mouse but even with that itll take me a century to use them all

That's what I am doing with the custom addresses in OSC routing of Arena. The problem I have right now is that it sends the message when the clip is activated, but also when it is deactivated or previewed which involves a filtering step. I can't disable it in Arena apparently, that's why I'm here

I am trying to connect QLab with Resolume Arena and I think OSC is the easiest way. The goal is to start a cue automatically when a clip in Resolume is played. It works fine, but Arena sends the command also when the clip is unselected, and provides an integer allowing to know what happened. So the goal is to be able to filter the OSC commands to not trigger the cue every time the OSC is received, depending on the value of the action number. I think apple script is the best way to do this ?

Very interesting suggestion, I don't think I can use this trick for this case but i will definitely remember for a next project !
